A very pretty flared matinee coat and lacy pants, with ribbon tied shoes and a lavishly lacy bonnet. This is deceptively quick to knit and can be decorated to great effect to make it very girly and pretty; though is equally pretty left plain. It is knitted in 4-ply or DK depending on size required.

Materials

20-21 inch Doll/0-3m baby

300g double knitting yarn (US: sport/worsted) (150g of each colour if knitted in 2 colours)

4mm needles (UK 8, US 6)

3.25 mm needles (UK10, US3)

17-19 inch Doll/newborn baby

300g double knitting yarn (US: sport/worsted) (150g of each colour if knitted in 2 colours)

3.75 mm needles (UK 9, US 5)

3mm needles (UK11, no US equivalent use US3)

15-16 inch Doll/prem baby

200g of 4-ply yarn (US: fingering/sport) (100g of each colour if knitted in 2 colours)

3.25 mm needles(UK 10, US 3)
